It’s the second week for many of you who rallied people to start BCx Boot Camp together. No matter where you are in the program, it’s tough!
As we were following the program ourselves here in Vero Beach, Florida, I almost started feeling guilty for making it so hard. Notice that I said “almost.” Seriously, this program is no joke. If you’ve attempted it or even done a couple of the missions, you’ve trained harder than most people.
If you’re a beginner and can’t seem to get through the program in under an hour, just do what you can and be proud of what you did do! If you need to modify an exercise, that’s fine. If you stop a million times to catch your breath, that’s OK too. The key is to give it your 100% – and as long as you do that, you are a true BCxer.
One thing that makes BCx so challenging and effective is that we always throw in a few exercises you don’t like! Why is this a good thing? Because oftentimes the things we like the least are the things we need the most. A program like this forces you to do exercises you normally would never do – like burpees.
By now, you probably cringe every time you think about a burpee, but those movements will help you get in the best shape of your life. This exercise strengthens and tightens your core, tones your arms and legs, and improves your cardiovascular system like no other. Why do you think the military use it as part of their training? They know it will get their soldiers ready for battle – and you don’t see many fat soldiers, do you?
Finally, I’d like to address diet. The harder you work, the hungrier you often become. You must watch your calories coming in while you’re working so hard to burn calories going out.
Think of it this way. Why work hard to save money, just to spend it on junk? Remember that you’re working out for a purpose. Every intense exercise should increase the value of a calorie, making you think twice about blowing your hard work on something silly.
If you reduce calories consumed and increase calories burned, you’ll get fast results. We want you to be our next success story! We’ve put thousands of people through this program and have seen some amazing transformations – and there’s no reason you can’t experience the next one!
We’re so honored to have you in the program. And we’re proud of you! Working out alone at home is a challenge. The fact that you’re doing this alone is a testament to how badly you want to succeed. We look forward to following your BCx journey and watching your success.

Seriously, BCx is no joke. But it’s been a great way for me to fight some diet and exercise demons. There is no doubt that this is a serious program. Interestingly enough, it has been the support of those doing BCx with me and the support of Steve and Bonnie that has made all the difference in the world. Between forums, blogs, and the timely tweet of those who are on this journey together, I feel like I am participating in something much larger than myself. Ain’t it grand?????
